RFIB’s Non Marine Construction and Engineering division, based in London, brings together a team of specialists from broking, underwriting and claims backgrounds to establish a close, focused unit with flexibility and customer service at the top of its priorities.The team has extensive experience in a wide range of projects from simple builds to complex mechanical and electrical engineering projects. Heavy civil engineering, such as roads, tunnels and bridges, are a particular strength.
In respect of the UK business, members of the team have looked after some of the largest civil engineering contractors in the UK for many years, across all lines of insurance, on an annual and product specific basis. The team have an extensive portfolio of prestigious contracts to demonstrate their capability, producing tailor-made solutions and manuscript wordings on a regular basis for their UK clients.
In respect of the international business, the team handles and places
reinsurance business for projects all over the world. Construction expertise, a sound knowledge of the reinsurance market and understanding the different characteristics of each territory combine to establish RFIB Construction and Engineering as a key player in this market.
